Too many CAPTCHAs
If Facebook’s over-sensitive anti-spam mechanism doesn’t stop hassling me every time I try to share a link with someone, I might use e-mail instead. C’mon, this isn’t Myspace.

What would make you..?
At some point in your online travels, you must’ve been sent a link to an article, or a picture or video by a friend.  (Admit it, your mum sends you LOLcats).  If you got one of these in your inbox today: What would make you really pleased (appreciative, “wow” etc) they sent it? And/or what would make you sigh and hit delete? Vague I know, but that’s the point! :-) ...

By my mate Pursehouse, who says: “I’m currently working for an indie music publisher, working with over a thousand unsigned/independent artists helping them to make money from their music and promote them on TV/Adverts/games etc. Music has always been my passion and the following are 7 songs that could been seen as landmarks in shaping my musical taste. These are in chronological order as...

The Beagles
Sat in a bar on holiday watching a naff singer/guitarist doing classic rock covers. And the GENIUS idea of a Beatles/Eagles tribute act hit me. Give ‘em the above name, they’d wear canine costumes and play songs like “Hard Dog’s Night” and “Retriever Sunrise”. This is gonna make me rich.

The curious economics of lighters and umbrellas
No one owns them. You rarely seem to have one when you need one. I know I’ve never bought either, but have had numerous in my possession over the years.  They sort of pass from person to person in a ghost economy of being left behind in pubs and on trains, where finding them means they are now yours for a brief, transient period, only to be passed on to someone else just before you actually...

Domain used in Oman →
If .om were to ever allow unrestricted second level domain registration, many forms of cybersquatting would then be possible. For example, instead of yahoo.com, one could register “yahooc” under “.om” to create the typo yahooc.om. I accidently typed “flickrc.om” this morning, and thought I was a genius for coming up with this scam. Seems I’m not the first...
