Tumblelogs of the year

There’s a good little post over at The Deplorable Word about personal top tumblelogs of the year.

Of the 20 or so that I follow, my faves, in no particular order, are:

  • Something Creative Will Go Here - the slightly-longer-form posts (well, long by tumblelog standards) are what make this stand out from those that just posts reams of the same links one can find everywhere. Not been going long, but very promising so far.
  • Scribbling.net - one of the first tumblelogs I discovered (before I started tumbling myself) and although not the most frequent poster, Gina normally has something interesting to point out or say.
  • Did You Ever Notice? - don’t know who this is, just discovered their tumblelog when they started following mine. Glad I did. And therein lies the beauty of Tumblr.
  • David’s Log - one of the main guys from Tumblr HQ, so he should know how to tumblelog. And he does.
  • Fred Wilson dot VC - tumblelogs often tend to be very tech focused, which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s nice to see one that deals with another of my passions by posting lots of music bits.
