HATETRIS
A tetris that always gives you the worst piece for your position. The fact that there’s no gravity doesn’t make things as easy as they may seem. The world record seems to be 17 lines. I’ve been messing with the source (it’s javascript), trying to hijack the game’s calculation of worst piece to find the optimal sequence of moves — it calculates the best move for every piece and then ranks the pieces according to the height of the tower given the optimal move, then gives you the piece with the highest optimal tower — but I haven’t figured it out yet. (I’d love to wow everyone with a thousand lines and pretend I did it manually, but alas.)
I love that there are people around who love creating so much that the Internet is full of tiny gems like this.
