Just joined FriendFeed...
…so feel free to follow me there :-)

Web 2.0 tart that I am, I have of course played around with FriendFeed before, but have always resisted signing up properly as I thought it’d probably be aggregation and information overload. I participate in too many social media thingies as it as, and thought FF might be a bridge too far. And I still think it is really, for my purposes anyway.
To be honest, I can’t see that I’m going to change my mind any time soon, but I’d be happy to be proven wrong so I’ll persist for the time being. I think I might end up using it as a one-way (ie. broadcasting) medium so that people who want to follow my online activities there can do, even if I don’t participate much on FF itself.
If nothing else, at least it adds a much-needed social element to my Google Reader Shared Items feed. I’ve only been using this recently (will blog about it properly soon), and have found it frustrating that there’s no proper in-built community functionality. The community is of course one of the things I love about Tumblr, so this was annoying. So even if I don’t read FriendFeed much myself, maybe other people will enjoy being exposed to my inane and shallow commentary on shared politics articles there.
