Searches on the term “offshore software development” are now 20% of what they were in 2004.

Just one of the many exciting facts I learned today.

Interestingly though (seriously), this isn’t just attributable to “the economy an’ that” - it’s been on steady decline throughout the past 4-5 years.  Wonder why?  I know web services (hosting etc.) are much more readily available now, but developers themselves..?

It’s not like the advent of Web 2.0 suddenly made raw PHP script understandable to mere mortals.
