Quora vs. Stack Exchange

I’ve got a Kindle question, so I thought I’d be interesting to post it on both question-and-answer site Quora and Stack Exchange’s Gadgets site to see which gives the best answers (or most, if any).

(Or reply here if you like, maybe Tumblr gives better answers…)

Anyone know any cool web services/startups etc with a fun “about us” or “meet the team” page?

What are the top 3 issues currently facing music and the arts?

A good question asked by my former lecturer Maria Barrett on Twitter.

In almost tweet-like brevity, off the top of my head I’d say:

1. Outmoded laws and attitudes around copyright/ownership/licensing.

2. Shifting consumption habits (it’s bigger than MP3).

3. Public misunderstanding of value/cost (probably the industry’s fault though).

Comment with your own or tweet (@MariaBarrett or hashtag #CIAM).

Anyone got any pearls of wisdom on Disney’s buyout of Marvel?

I like this Guardian piece…but it’s still little more than stating the facts. I want insight, speculation and punditry, dammit!

What’re your thoughts or fave links?

Can anyone recommend any good blogs about museums/galleries?

They don’t necessarily have to be blogs belonging to museums or galleries (in fact, impartiality might be a good thing).

Some very interesting ones I’ve been enjoying a look at today are Museum 2.0 and Museum Marketing.

Economics articles?

Can anyone recommend any good aggregators of economics articles - link blogs, social bookmarking bits etc?

Reddit’s economics section is rubbish (nothing but US bailout stories), but I like Free Exchange and Marginal Revolution.  I’m generally more interested micro- than macro-, and am looking for medium-to-long think pieces (“Instapaper friendly”!) rather than brief newsy items.
